10 Steps TO A Professional Air Duct Cleaning!

Monster vacuum!

1. MONSTER Vacuum!

Our goal is to remove all the dirt and dust. Our truck-vac system is among the most powerful systems available in the duct cleaning industry.

Don’t settle for our competitors’ under-powered “portable” units!

Trained technicians

2. Trained Technicians

No subcontractors at DUCT Masters!

Our specialists are experienced and trained in the latest procedures, using the most effective cleaning tools.

Protection

3. Protection

Work will not begin until the floors, doorways and corners are protected against dirt or scratching.

Protective shoe covers are worn at all times.

4. Maximizing Vacuum

All registers are covered with a magnetic-vinyl sheet.

As each run is cleaned, the cover is removed, maximizing the air flow in that duct line.

5. Negative Air Pressure

The 8” or 10” vacuum hose is attached to both the supply and return sides of the system.

During the cleaning, all dirt and debris is pulled directly outside to the vac truck, to ensure that pollutants stay out of your breathing space!

6. Scrub the System

Pulling large volumes of air toward the truck, we now send a variety of our special scrubbing tools down each trunk line (supply) and plenum (return air) to remove dirt, dust, hair and debris.

7. Access Panels & Plugs

It is vital to access your entire duct system to ensure complete cleaning.

Our trained technicians will expertly cut access clean-out openings into your duct system where necessary.

Many of our competitors do not bother with this step, leaving your system only half cleaned! Upon completion of the cleaning and final inspection, they will seal the duct system with removable plugs or metal access cover plates.

Hand cleaning

8. Hand Cleaning

Normally, we merely air-wash your vent covers, but for a small fee upon request, we will hand-clean them for you!

Furnace interior

9. Furnace Interior

The cleaning is completed with the air-washing and vacuuming of the interior of the furnace, including your air coil and/or high-efficiency coil.

Some companies bypass these coils, but a buildup of only 1/16th of an inch of dust on a coil can reduce your furnace’s efficiency by up to 21%!

Final inspection

10. Final Inspection

Before we leave, your system is tested to ensure it is working properly. Flooring is swept or vacuumed and all debris is removed.

Usually, our technicians take 3 hours to completely clean the entire air duct system in the average 2000-SF home.
